All of the magic here has really inspired me to start learning digital art. I've always wanted to do it, but figured I'd never be able to grasp something that I've seen as so complicated and wildly mysterious... I also couldn't really afford the purchase of fancy digital software, so I just lived vicariously through other talented artists, wishing that I could somehow learn to create images that aren't possible in real-life.

Once I found GIMP, the possibilities awakened inside, and now I'm an absolute addict. It doesn't even matter if my art isn't the best out there; I just love the way that I can express myself through it... I like to make up stories in my mind and just... see what comes up visually to express them.

Anyway, I'm proud of my first creation, Planet Murder. It was inspired by a poem I wrote for our upcoming album, so it'll always be special to me. Well, most "firsts" are pretty special, anyway.

I've already go another idea in mind... can't wait to get started!
